Love Andrew Garfield, he's such a fantastic actor, but it seems like he may have offended a bog witch and she cursed his choice in films. There are some bangers - 'tick, tick... BOOM!' was great, but too many stinkers for an actor of his skill.

When you drop a bomb on civilians, I think that’s murder. I don’t really care for any justifications. They’re people. The enormity of the loss is devastating and it’s easier for some people to look away. But for other people, that’s their family. Their children. It’s just sickening and so wrong.

What I try to keep in mind, always,is that I DON'T KNOW THESE PEOPLE. Any interactions I have with them I should approach as if they were interactions with a stranger, because that's what they are. Reading someone's thoughts frequently does not give me the right to speak to them with familiarity.

Oh, I totally agree - my point is more that even granting all sorts of leeway, and even granting universal goodwill and universal courtesy, there's STILL a point at which it all becomes too much. And in the real world, there ISN'T universal good will, and there ISN'T universal courtesy.

But even if people aren't acting like deranged shits, and even if you aren't Will Stancil, if 3% of users are inclined to respond with (even polite!) hostility to your post, and you have 10,000 followers, that's 300 hostile replies, and that's more than it is reasonable to expect people to deal with

I think that part of this is just the law of big numbers - a certain percentage of people are deranged shits, and the higher your follower count, the more of them you've got. Not to downplay your situation - you have WELL more than your fair share.
