A mock up of a 25mm mini wooden pin made from an original digital illustration by Loadofolbobbins of a blue carpenter bee. The viewer is looking down from a bird's eye view perspective, seeing the back of the bee, wings open and it's upper left leg raised in an almost Saturday Night Fever pose. The bee is of a larger size and predominantly black in colour with vibrant turquoise blue hairs covering it's thorax and head. It's darker translucent wings are spread out beside it and are iridescently glistening in blues, greens and purples.

Angle of Vision
Robert Rendall

But, John, have you seen the world, said he,
Trains and tramcars and sixty-seaters,
Cities in lands across the sea –
Giotto’s tower and the dome of St Peter’s?

No, but I’ve seen the arc of the earth,
From the Birsay shore, like the edge of a planet,
And the lifeboat plunge through the Pentland Firth
To a cosmic tide with the men that man it.

Just a couple of days before my next @backerkit.com launches and I'm still drawing ideas for stretch goals as suggested by the insect loving community. Let me introduce you to this Dicarnosis erythrocephala, a type of parasitic wasp.... #BugSky #SciArt #Invertebrate #Illustration #Procreate
An original digital illustration by Loadofolbobbins of a Dicarnosis Erthrocephala parasitic wasp against a white background. A small but unusual insect with black mottled body which has speckled white dots and striped black clear transparent wings. It's legs are a rich orange red that fade into a light orange as they go down. What's particularly striking about this wasp is it's very large and thick feelers/antennae (I think, not an entymologist) they are segmented and are reddish orange with white tips. The head of the wasp is a deep maroonish red with large greenish yellow eyes.
