Watching TBS Night Tracks has helped me appreciate some of the many genres of 80’s music video, like: -Rock Dudes in Black and White -We could only afford green screen -Only stock footage, but it’s about something important so you’re not allowed to be mad -Absolute work of art, never seen again

One tradeoff of pizza places outsourcing delivery to rideshares: that pie’s gonna be cold. Unless your driver has paid out of pocket for one of those insulated bags (and they shouldn’t have to), that pie’s leaving all its heat in the car. If your place still has their own drivers, hold them close.

I was super into Burn Notice for a good 3.5 seasons, and then just…stopped. Couldn’t tell you why, but I got to that point where I was far enough behind that it was too overwhelming to pick up again. A shame, I liked that show.

Played a pinball table that was way wobbly today; one leg adjusted way too short, so I was able to tilt the table around like one of those old labyrinth games. You’d think that would make the game easier, but it also messed up the physics on all the ramps because gravity does what it do.

My personal ramen noodles recipe: 1) Smash noods with fist exactly once 2) Just barely enough water to cover 3) Boil, DO NOT add seasoning yet 4) Drain 5) NOW seasoning 6) Lil’ butter to loosen things up. Mix thoroughly and eat. Punchier flavor, not as slurpy.

Buddy was a fun watch. I think the promo material might have given a smidge too much away? But still enough twists to make it worth seeing. Casper Kelly has a real knack for playing with tonal shifts. Also a fan of films brave enough to run less than 90 minutes. My bladder appreciates this.

I finally saw Terrifier today. I’ve been dipping my toe into horror more in the last year or two, and seeing this one helped me to understand that, nope, I am not a Slasher Guy. It was a little much for me. (I’m still a bad movie guy though, so films like Jason X are still on my list.)

I saw a compilation of WTBS’s “Night Tracks” music video block earlier, and I really connected with it for some reason? I love music videos anyway, but something about seeing a music video program that was not MTV felt like a particularly unique and rare time capsule.
