The word "shmuppers" is used for folks that are fans of shmups, right? Hear me out - that word sounds like the Smuckers. You know - the grape and strawberry jelly people? I'm tellin' you that's where FULL EXTENT OF THE JAM comes from! It's all a conspiracy! WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT

IT'S ALL A CONSPIRACY THE ILLUMINATI IS IN ON THIS!
IT'S IN REVELATIONS PEOPLE

My #RandomGameSaturday is my collection of Legend of Zelda games spanning the NES to Switch. I know it's technically more than one game, but I'm making up for not posting a game on Saturdays. Happy 40th anniversary to one of my favorite video game franchises. #zelda

This is what I woke up to this morning. My wife @lynnindenver.bsky.social knows I think angy rain frogs are cute and proceeded to have a bunch of silently judging while looking at me. Gods I love this woman.

It took me like 25~30 years after that to finally see the movie and I LOVE IT. It's cheesy in the best possible way. I also want to wear the dress Olivia Newton-John wears in the movie. I MEAN HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE THIS LOOK?!

Even though my first video game system as a kid was a ColecoVision, the NES and arcades heavily influenced my taste in games. As I got exposure to more hardware and systems, my tastes broadened, but these titles really set the foundation for a lot of the games I tend to gravitate toward.

My 9 Games That Shaped Who I Am:
Top row: The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Space Invaders
Middle row: The Guardian Legend, Metroid, Life Force
Bottom row: Space Harrier, Tetris, Blaster Master

Another spicy black and white pic. No nudity, but spicy enough for a content warning. My good friend Heather over at www.fortuitousphotography.com is to thank for this these pics of me. #cw restraints, bondage

No, the kits you got are from Plum who also do the R-Type Arrowhead and Gradius Vic Viper model kits. The one I got is manufactured from Kotobukiya (and has the Raystorm branding). Here's a link to the R-Gray 1 product listing: www.kotobukiya.co.jp/en/product/d...

I did a build of the R-Gray 1 maybe five years ago? I've always liked the Ray series ship designs.

A spicy black and white pic this morning as there's probably a few of ya who like that sort of thing. No nudity, but spicy-ish enough for a content warning. I sincerely want to thank my good friend Heather over at www.fortuitousphotography.com for snapping these pics of me. #cw restraints, bondage

When I owned an Amiga 500, I was a huge fan of Psygnosis. Some of the games have aged well, others not so much. I still have my Psygnosis collection. Their games also introduced me to Roger Dean.

Collection of boxed Amiga 500 games from Psygnosis. From top to bottom: Shadow of the Beast III, Terrorpods, Agony, Spell Bound. Ballistix, Menace. Blood Money, Infestation, Amnios, Shadow of the Beast, Shadow of the Beast II.

Box covers of Shadow of the Beast and Shadow of the Beast II, both by Roger Dean.

My wife @lynnindenver.bsky.social ordered a preamplifier and a new cartridge for the 1978 Pioneer PL-518 she picked up at thrift for $23. My ears aren't the greatest, but it sounds "warmer" than our previous one (Audio-Technica AT-LP60X-GM).

Terranigma is finally being released. I own a reproduction cart as it never got released in the states, but I still haven't gotten around to playing it. I've played Soulblazer and Illusion of Gaia and not this or Grandstream Saga (but I own it). store.steampowered.com/app/4193690/...

After this weekend I will stop Twitch streaming as the whole Opt-In thing really rubbed me the wrong way. Not that I had a big following (or a way to cultivate one), so it's not a huge deal. I kept ALL my streams (screenshots below), so I could theoretically broadcast "reruns" weekly for years.

Got some good feedback on my WIP writing project. It's slow going, but I am making progress.

"What are your plans with the book? Like any plans when are you going to finish this one?"

ME: I was really doing this for myself and getting all this "out" was important to me. I haven't thought of what to do with it once it's done.

"Honestly, I think that's a really good reason to write it. Even if nobody else ever read it, getting all of that out and putting your story into words is already worth something. And from what I've read so far, I don't think it should just sit on your hard drive forever. I genuinely think there are people who'd connect with it."

For today's #RandomGameSaturday I have Burning Soldier for the 3DO. It's a FMV game where you aim a reticle and shoot down aliens. The music is decent, but the VO on the game is *chef's kiss*. There's a boss where the VO just says "disgusting" and it's absolutely perfect in delivery.
