Does anyone know if macarons are actually hard to make or if this is a psyop from Big Pastry to entice me into buying a little treat (when I could make several little treats at home instead).

ok so I know a lot of people regard books as precious etc to be preserved forever but I don't think people are ready to hear about the amount of weeding and withdrawals we have to do at the library. like I told my mum about a book I had to bin the other day and she was HORRIFIED

glad we're finally getting a decent conversation about the racism in the vocal synth community but genuinely if I see one more person going "umm but it Is ok if you don't like rap, that doesn't mean you're racist" I am going to lose my mind. aggressively not the time!!!

THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO DOLLARS FOR GENERAL ADMISSION?????? I love system of a down but what the FUCK you'd have to work 14 hours to afford that on minimum wage here!! back in the day (only 10 years ago) I worked THREE hours to get tickets to stuff

picture of a seating chart for system of a down. it is 332.75 for general admission.

bittersweet for destiny 2 to be going out like this because the massive overhauls in moments of triumph has actually made the game accessible to me for the first time in years - which makes it blatantly obvious that this is the game the devs wanted to make instead of the perpetual fomo grinder

GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.

I do think a lot of English-based analysis of what happened in Northern Ireland last night is missing the specifically loyalist aspect of the violence. These are groups with a long history of violently driving out "outsiders", turning their sights on a new vulnerable minority.
