toaster @syk.sh · 05/10/2026After watching all the Alien films (some twice), I'll probably just rewatch 1, 2, and 4 going forward and ignore the rest. Prometheus and Covenant were eh, Romulus felt very uninspired, and 3 I really didn't enjoy. But 1 and 2 are amazing and I also really like 4 (and not just for the robot yuri). 110

toaster @syk.sh · 02/10/2026The use of AI in niche hobby software that would've otherwise been a community-driven passion project feels like such an utter robbery. People pay tech companies for the privilege to not learn anything. Even using AI as an aid enables and normalises these companies' theft of human-written code. 010
toaster @syk.sh · 01/10/2026Started my second read-through of #shuukura, almost done with volume 1. It's amazing how different their relationship is to the later volumes, really shows just how much they slowly change over time. Like, Sendai used to *not* be constantly freaky with Miyagi? 000
toaster @syk.sh · 20/09/2026As amazing as Goodbye Lara, including episode 12, was, I can't help but be disappointed by the ending after all that was set up. Especially by the epilogue. It's so close to being something I really love. 000

toaster @syk.sh · 11/09/2026Reply with 🍉 and I’ll give you a letter to list your 4 favourite characters with! I got H! Omg Sendai and Shimamura are next to each other they're so twin 🥹 I was struggling to find a fourth pick until I remembered her other name... Surprisingly ended up with four of my favourites in general. 010
