We've reached the stage of kitten fostering where we get to be playground equipment for the tiny kittens and their tiny razor sharp claws and teeth. So fun and adorable but also so ouchy!

Lol we switched the litter in the foster room to a more kitten friendly wood pellet format and mama is Not Having It. She yelled a bunch when the change was made and this morning I went down to find the bag of clay litter had been dragged into the box. Very clear communicator that one.

Tonight when I went in for their bedtime visit, the smaller tabby came scampering over to me as fast as his wobbly little legs would carry him. Adorable! Was rewarded with many pets and head kisses.

The kittens are getting bigger and more adventurous. Mama has responded to all of our efforts to relocate them to a box (to contain them a bit better) by rolling her eyes and moving them back to their nest as soon as we leave the room.

I think the main worry is people putting them on Facebook and promising them to their friends, or people deciding they want one specific kitten instead of just going to the shelter to see who is there. But the instructions were very strict about no social media posts.

Resident cats are mostly taking it in stride. Slightly put out to have lost access to the guest room. Victor and Taco we're both really enjoying it as a nice cool, quiet place for some alone time in the afternoons.

We had a *lot* of plumbing issues at our last house, and every single time I had to deal with the plumbers they were polite and tidy and explained everything clearly and without being condescending dicks about it. So I'm incredibly happy to deal with them any time I need work done.
