Yeah, ok. But the document it is scanning is a diary of performances. All it needs to do is find a single value over 12 in either column A or column B.

But an adult does not forget how to do things a child can. Quite strange to say, the task was too easy, that's why it failed.

I find it fascinating that it can perform such complex stuff, but is confused by European vs American date formats into thinking the concert happened on the 10th of September.

Interesting, but primary sources are key to accuracy. I was taught to not even trust an academic article's take on a book passage, without checking the book. So, why trust a harvested piece of a reddit reply, explaining a news report, based on an academic article's understanding of a book passage?

Yes. This is Wiki-harvest, largely.

How interesting. So, literally, same available info, but one is told to be confident and the other not.

insisted "It looks like there might be a minor typo or a mashup of musical terms in your query. You are likely looking for Mozart's Concert Aria: "Conservati fedele" (K. 23)" It seems to get particularly baffled if the query is in language A, but includes words from language B.

I am doing some reasearch today and it has made mistake after mistake. I don't know if it's just mythology and classical music that it is shite at, but it was notably unhelpful and pretty confident with its wrong answer. Earlier asked it which concert aria begins "Dove sei, mio bel tesoro" and it

No, the gemini answers often provide a link at the end of the statement, as a source. It linked me TO the programme.

Google, who was the piano accompanist in a 1973 Franco Corelli/Renata Tebaldi duets recital in London's Royal Albert Hall? Gemini: "No such concert ever took place. It is a common misattribution in collectors' circles." Gemini's source for this? An ebay listing of *the actual concert programme*. 😂

Le Pen’s biggest problem has been that people hold their nose and vote against her in the second time. So, there may also be more than a small element of agenda in her claiming Macron is on her side.

Neither of your examples involve a second round election which depends on convincing people to hold their nose.

Oh how much do I love Quiet Riot. In depth analysis on Marine Le Pen, a lovely story about mudlarking and a multi-national duel about rolling R s. Such a lovely eclectic mix.

*okay, maaaybe Le Pen lost her lead a tiny bit earlier than the pattern, in April 2021, when links to the violent Generation Identity group were revealed and her party was close to bankrupt, but it's a minor variation.

Here's a thing you won't hear on UK media, fanning itself at the idea of a far right gov't in France: “With the exception of de Gaulle in 1965, no one who was ahead the year before a presidential election, went on to win it. This doesn't mean it can't happen, of course, but it's worth remembering.”

Policy-rich? It was fiction! Every Tory gov't from Cameron onwards has been voted in on the same platform: Debt reduction, low tax, growth, stability, common sense, less red tape. What did they deliver? £1.9tn more debt, highest tax, stagnation, Truss, BoJo, and Brexit. When will people fkn learn?

Also, the system is VERY generous after minimal estate planning. What I sense is bubbling under the surface is a sort of familial distrust, where parents like to hold the asset as a sort of insurance of the performance of filial duty, fearing their kids might turf them out, if gifted before death.

And downright inhuman if one parent dies within six months of the other. The best thing any gov't could do is really encourage older people to do a lot more estate planning.

It's an informative piece of research, but not really an "explanation", unless the anti-IHT side of the argument is willing to drop unfairness/double taxation angles. It's not reasonable to count those receiving the windfall and those people making the bequest, as suits that bit of propaganda.

Sure. And my mother, if she said "no" to me going to a party, would never, after pestering, say "okay, you can go". She would say "you do what you want anyway, why even ask me". Being too proud to climb down does not necessarily mean one is not grateful when the rescue helicopter appears.

Yes, quite. I was on GB news recently, where whole debate was framed as Labour “secretly” “plotting” to overturn the democratic “will of the people. I said there was nothing secret or undemocratic about openly suggesting a new debate on whether Brexit was working, and relations with EU improved.
