Probably the most ambitious pano I've shot, given each vertical frame is at 170mm (tiny field of view) which required about 40 individual frames to get the correct perspective. For context the older wide angle frame shows how far away I am from this view

Black and white for some reason still seems to be perceived as a bit niche (in my experience running this gallery anyway) hence I don't print much of it. The horizon wasn't blurred in Photoshop, I just waited a long, long time for some sea fret and a high tide :-) #blackandwhite #longexposure

Shooting panos for a gallery with a commercial mindset can feel a bit soulless, in the moment you want to see the back of cam result however with these you don’t get that joy. V. pleased to see the end result come out so well from a special moment. This is about 1.2m wide #landscapephotography

A rather epic morning on Luskentyre - image can probably best be summed up as: 'weather' Literally every type you can think of in about half an hour. I'm sure there's a good reason why I'd left my camera on 16:9 aspect, but it isn't forthcoming.

This is an old winter favourite from 2020 and one of the 3 portfolio images that were part of my Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year win in 2021. An example of persistence and knowing where to go quickly when conditions are fleeting. This short burst of light helped create 2 of my favourite images, with both being monumental in my photographic journey. The Leadhills area is a go-to place for me when snow is in the air. Knowing the area well helps me relax when I'm wandering, with little fear of missing something around the corner. Getting to know where and when light can hit also helps choose locations to visit and when.
