Been ages since I’ve been out with the camera hence being quiet on here, so although I didn’t get the light I was hoping for was nice to be out yesterday making an image

Bit of a cliche shot I know, but I rarely shoot bluebells and conditions were almost perfect!

No matter how many times I visit this place there are always new shots to be taken. That’s why I love woodland photography. Conditions at the weekend were beautiful #woodlandphotography

I’m so used to looking at the trees, I am clearly overlooking the little scenes at my feet! This wonderfully photogenic haircap moss, along with sphagnum and a birch root caught my eye! #sharemondays2025

Been out of sorts for the last few weeks and not been out with the camera. Hoping that will change soon. In the meantime, here’s one from last year I like

My final keeper from last weekend. Looking back most of the images I took seem to be framing the transition of light from cold to warm tones. Right now to get printing them! #hoarfrost #woodlandphotography

This was a complex little scene from the weekend. I spent some time trying to make this work, and not sure I’ve succeeded really. I like the tones, textures and shapes but it’s maybe a bit too busy?

It’s fair to say that the launch of #sharemondays2025 here has been a success with my struggle shortlisting below but the winner is: mehceephotos.bsky.social. Em’s dedication to her craft in all conditions has been rewarded with this fantastic, atmospheric shot. Over to you for judging next week!

As I’m judging #sharemondays2025 this week I can’t enter myself, so here’s my weekend effort trying to make the most of a wintry misty scene in a local woodland

I’ve got first post nerves! What picture to share? I’ve got nothing new (last few weeks) so I’ll share one of my favourites from my local fenland birch woodland
