Cant really speak to the system except i love the idea of using a deck of cards and poker/cardgame mechanics for a resolution engine. But i dont know if it actually did that or if im misremembering. Let alone if they made it work.

I remember way back seeing the cover with the zombie gunslinger on it and getting extremely interested in a dark weird Western horror (in the direction of today's HUNT Showdown setting), then opening the book to find it was way more Wild Wild West and dropping it.

Been running some "RPG club" games in school for first graders during fritids. Its been pretty great. Extremely variable in what happens even with a small shipwrecked type of adventure. Of four beginner groups one actually managed to get off the island in the hour and 40 something session.

Exactly, a GURPS character is a "full" description of a person. A dnd character's whole possible progression amounts fully mapped out set of possible combat statistics. A Fighter does not exist outside of melee combat except for a token 'i also have a lute' in a forgotten corner of the sheet.
