Queen Eternal watch out. I think that prey animal is planning to kill you.

Yuyuka, a horned lalafell unwilling retrofitted with a regulator, stares at the viewer with murderous intent despite her hands being tied behind her head. Blood drips down from her nose.

Thinking about how Yuyuka letting go of the emergency teleportation device must've looked like she was relapsing into her usual self-destructive martyrdom from an outside perspective but actually it was actually her breaking the habit

*Rent lowering gunshot* I’m afraid we’re flaying Yuyuka with this snippet Endwalker spoilers Content Warning for “Fighting Zenos” levels of brutality and physical violence against a minor. Unedited.

Zenos had ripped her from the sky like a child with a bug net, torn flesh from bone with all the ease of peeling open a fresh orange. The starlit surface below provided no mercy for her face nor purchase for her hands. She’d scrambled blindly for her cane, a foothold, anything.

She tried not to think of what followed next. The boot slammed upon the nape of her neck. A scythe tip pressed against her back for several heartbeats too long. Don’t look. The plea she would’ve offered Roscoe drowned within a blood-filled mouth. Don’t give him the reaction he wants.

LRT Roscoe really said "YOUNG LESBIAN GET BEHIND ME" and was able to somewhat shield her using their co-wol narrative

A poorly edited meme. Military weapons fire at Roscoe who is shielding Yuyuka with his body.

The text reads as follows
"A bunch of men actively watching the WoL's every move"
"Roscoe's hero status making him their focus"
"Yuyuka sleeping soundly because history totally overlooked all her deeds - the only time this has benefitted her."

The fact that lalafell don’t receive their courtesy name until they reach adulthood implies that Yuyuka spent the majority of expansions with no second name or family links to serve as an identifier. I know the people who sort paperwork hate to see her coming.

Day 1 - Key In music, call and response is a compositional technique, often a succession of two distinct phrases that works like a conversation. [ #ffxivwrite2026 | #ffxivwrite | #brambleverse]

Somewhere within a train station not yet lost to time a chubby, freckled hand presses a key on an instrument wholly unbefitting of somebody her stature.

The following notes echo in unmelodic abandon that earn weary glances from citizens trying to go around their usual day to day. The girl does not notice, or at the very least, does not seem to care.

“Will you play?” she asks with a toothy grin, leaning backwards to face her companion, head colliding into their robed stomach.

“Of course,” they reply before gently scooting her aside to take a seat upon the stool.

Excited feet tab upon marble.

They have never said no; to her or their passions.

Somewhere within a tavern - twelve millennia after the last train disappeared among the pages of history - a scarred, freckled hand presses a key on an instrument wholly unbefitting of somebody her stature.

The day has been taxing enough for the Scions to settle on grabbing a bite at the first available stopping point en route. Inevitably the mere sight of such sizable portions being ferried to tables had caused the young mage’s stomach to seize into a knot; dread setting in over the thought of wasted resources and table politics. It felt prudent to excuse herself to the farthest corner of the room.

“Do you play?” he asks with a toothy grin, curiosity etched in twitching whiskers.

She is uncertain why Eorzea’s hero has opted to join her, spoiled for conversation options as he is, but the company is welcome nevertheless.

“Unfortunately not,” she replies, words punctuated with another absentminded note fast lost to the background din.

Her keen hearing is to be used solely for translation - not melodic distractions.

Wooden floorboards creak as tiny feet vacate their perch. She could leave it there. It would make more sense than giving voice to the inexplicable feeling of knowing.

“Regardless, I have the strangest inkling that you could teach me how.”

Go Tonight from The Mad Ones that “Yuyuka struggling to cope with losing Alisaie after Ghimlyt Dark” anthem that you are youtu.be/C4Mw-ifYFD0?...

She was, she was
Everything I'm not, my whole universe
When I was a footnote, a slim second verse
But she was the chorus, the hook and the groove
And without her there pushing, somehow I can't... move

So I sit in the car that she left behind
Sinking down in this void like a crater
Getting lost in a world that I can't rewind
It's too late and it's just getting later

You were mad to reach, mad to drive. Mad, mad and so alive. The space you left, the empty air. I reach, reach but you're not there.
