My nephews just learned about the Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor so I've been showing them pictures of the Squirrelbuster armor as well any time they ask me to show them Hulkbuster pictures on my phone.

Once science gives us the ability to build and rebuild human bodies to specifications the average number of arms will probably shoot up perhaps even above 2.000 though.

Samus Aran! I'm so excited for the new 2D Metroid game coming out next year! I loved Dread and this looks like a direct continuation with a new Devour mechanic! Samus was due for a redraw and I'm so proud of this piece! It's eat, or be EATEN! #Metroid #Nintendo #Metroidvania #Samus #Sci-fi

Bird of Prey (Samus Aran from Metroid Ravenous)

Digital painting portraying the Nintendo character Samus Aran, from the Metroid series, as a ravenous creature on top of a totem.
Samus, a woman wearing a full futuristic space suit with giant round shoulders and an arm canom, crouches on top of a totem while holding a pink flame with a off-putting bird claw shaped hand. Her arm canom on the other hand oozes a yellow substance. She looks at the camera like she has just noticed us.

I really appreciate how the choice of chalk relates to the ephemeral nature of Smile Dog. The rain washes it away just like a chan thread but the story lives on through replication and it comes back a little different each time.

My brother has a Samsung smart tv which came with a minimalist remote but the UI frequently wants you to press the C button which has been removed along with the A, B, and D buttons and replaced with a button that brings them up in an onscreen popup and makes you select them with the arrow keys

I just went to the root of that thread and it gets at a lot of the ways usability improvements in tech backfire and drive me mad these days. I have bought that same glow in the dark rubber sleeve for my FireTV remote and I'm missing a Roku remote. You really do have to put some shit on it.

Coincidentally, I was also thinking of a My Girl (adoptive daughter not girlfriend) with SCP-053 who has a similar thing to Tomie where people are supernaturally compelled to attack her and then die and she regenerates. My paternal instinct would just make the curse not work on me, surely.

Laurence Fishburne produced the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur TV series and included himself as a narrator, credited as Backstory Man, that gives a quick summary of the villain of the week's backstory so I think he would appreciate the moniker of Exposition Man

I was with my sister and her friend. My sister asked me for a spare poop bag (because I am always carrying) and they shamed the guy into picking up the poop and throwing into the trash can right next to the small parking lot. That was probably the only time he's ever picked up after his dog.

020

The Skeleton Dan @strangerdan.bsky.social · 13/05/2026

One time I was in my usual park in Chicopee and a guy pulled into the parking lot opened the door and stayed inside while his dog hopped out and pooped and it was clear he was planning on having the dog hop back in so he could drive away. So you might have to factor in American car culture.
