After thoughtful consideration, I have decided to withdraw my Symphony No. 15 "Lincoln" from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Symphony No. 15 is a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, and the values of the Kennedy Center today are in direct conflict with the message of the Symphony. Therefore, I feel an obligation to withdraw this Symphony premiere from the Kennedy Center under its current leadership.

Good morning! We have a biblically inaccurate angel for Day Five. Her robe has faded from its original clear red, but her hair is still bright and cheerful on this foggy wintery morning. I love how there are maybe six stitches in her face but her expression is very clear. #AdventCalendar

Day Two - I love the camels so much. The orange and once-hot pink is so 70s, isn't it? Also the little embroidery floss tassels are so charming to me. The third photo is one I took in 2006, the first year I posted this calendar online (on my LiveJournal account)!

Every year I look forward to sharing my Advent Calendar online. My mother made this by hand in 1976 or 1977. There no Velcro or glue - everything is sewn onto the panels in her tiny little stitches. Day One is a very content looking felt cow with a tiny French knot for her eye. #AdventCalendar
