I really liked the "Crows" books so it would have been nice to have seen those characters move into those stories. I think they did "Fantasy Amsterdam" a service in the show.

Damn. Forgot about: Dead Boy Detectives Glow Dark Crystal (the series) Marco Polo... Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency The Get Down Also, the sadly brilliant but unpopular "Étoile"

Ah, you just reminded me of a show I wish stuck around: Dead Boy Detectives

Seems weird to say for a "dramatic lighting" post but I love how you painted your trees.

And of course, my old heartbreaker : Pushing Daisies. But the "hot iron" has cooled off considerably since that show aired.

They know exactly what they’re doing and that‘s farming the rich viewing veins of the Gooniverse.

Recent shows I wish had a second shot of life: The Peripheral Shadow and Bone and the planned “Crows“ series Wonder Man Mindhunter Spider Noir

230

But let’s talk about good “newish” shows: Slow Horses The Mare of Easttown Reacher (in spite of a rough Season 2) Neagely The Americans / The Diplomat Widows Bay The Penguin The Lowdown Fallout Andor A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

You’ll be surprised to learn that a banana-free life did NOT indeed cure my ADHD.

At least you saw a “healer”, I saw an ultra-religious “dietician” that felt they could cut my “hyperactivity” by removing bananas from my diet.

I just read that " all songbirds originated in Australia, before spreading across the world " - I had no idea! 😮 theconversation.com/the-joy-of-s...

Research suggests all of the world’s songbirds can be traced back to Australia.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

Not so humble, then. 😂 Congrats for the award but huge congrats for making something in Assembler.

This album was a significant chunk of my early 90s.

Look forward to the eventual followup to this story.

We don’t do the Daily Mail, but as a public service, here is someone with far too much money being attacked by an owl.

"how did you get into ttrpgs" Picked up a copy of “Warlock” magazine (Fighting Fantasy) as a child. Like “Choose Your Own Adventure” but with stats/dice. Showed it to a classmate, who said he played something similar with his brother. Thats how I ended up in a BX and, later, 1e AD&D games.

Yeah, it doesn’t have the information overload of AD&Ds sheet. Granted, this doesn’t offer much room for equipment but there is always the back face.
