We have a new candidate for oldest beer find in Europe: Solnitsata, Bulgaria, 4500 BCE. There is no archaeological report yet, so this still needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but sounds convincing so far. provadia-solnitsata.com/en/news/naso...

The new RAPT app doesn't fix the issue I have with the two RAPT Pills that stopped working last year. Still can't connect to the network, regardless. It's the router, a notorious fuckstain of a Telstra Mongoose with known issues. Fucken cuntie fuck fuck. There's that.

Oktoberfestbier is still a Märzen, just a pale coloured one. I don't see why this is so difficult to understand. Märzen can be any colour. See Schlenkerla Märzen.

Hobart's MyState Arena ends up getting $550 per week rent from the company who utilises it... I mean, capitalism isn't meant to be about corporate grifters getting socialist handouts, is it? When a family can't get a shithole mouldy anything for that money anymore.

Guinness Soda... I think the whole non alcoholic beer marketing has missed that huge potential where no alcohol beer could bust into the soda market, and stop pretending to be a fucking beer. You can drink a soda at a pub, but you can drink a Guinness soda while shopping, too.

"Two qvevri unearthed at Mtskheta, Georgia's ancient capital, in June 1907. Clay jars like these were buried up to the neck so the wine could ferment and age at a steady cool temperature. Wine has been made in what is now Georgia for about 8,000 years." [filched from FB]

Dog's body on the new fence job next weekend and my fucking knee has decided it's one step backwards in the rehabilitation game with 6 days to kick-off. Saving $500 on labour is a noble quest that my knee must participate in... for the princess, and the throne... and the after-beer.

The bottle conditioned Blonde Doppelbock that I had last night is an absolute cracker. Funny, it was the the doppelbock that I most expected to not be right, and here it is in it's beautiful malty lager glory. A beautiful beer in every way at 8.4% ABV.

Rio Tinto's Bell Bay aluminium smelter got 20 million from the Federal and State governments to secure the 550 workforce for another 5 years. That's $11,000 a day in public funds gifted to a multinational that made 16+ Billion in profit in 2025. Cap in fucking hand.

I've come to really appreciate this 1 year old porter with oude vat brettanomyces at kegging... there is a real underlying sour fruity dry red wine something that is very drinkable over the evening. It's hard to articulate. For any lack of body, it rebounds with flavour.

Homemade Unpasteurised Citric Forward Nigori Sake... 10% of white koji included in the moto (starter) to achieve the citric flavour. Yesterday was World Sake Day, but some of us found out a bit late in the antipodes. Cheers @brandondoughan.bsky.social thanks for your help.
