Now THAT’s a movie. Just saw Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners.” A “horror” action film…kinda? But so so much more, with way more depth than expected, with some jaw-dropping sequences. Ludwig Görannson’s soundtrack absolutely CRUSHES. Go see it on a big ass screen with a big crowd & stay thru the credits!

Replaying one of my favorite games for the first time in 13 years: Shadow of the Colossus. Not sure if it’s due te remade graphics and/or me being older, but I just took down my first Colossus and it hit me harder than expected. I’m now sad! It’s amazing how much emotion this game conveys.

Years ago, I saw this sign while hiking at Crater Lake, OR It's a pretty damn good lesson for life. In health, business, relationships, writing, & art, there's no true substitute for putting in actual, authentic work over many months and years. Some things can't be hacked without causing erosion.

Big week for unique POV films. Saw “Nickel Boys” earlier this week. Faithful to the book, thus absolutely devastating and heartbreaking. Beautiful film though. Just saw “Presence” - not what I had expected, but it builds up and up for the entirety of its short runtime. Enjoyed both!
