The changes to the Canada Labour Code in this new bill are “without precedent in Canadian law and they’re without precedent even amongst our trading partners in the G7.” “It provides the complete and unlimited discretion to the federal minister to decide who gets to go on strike and who does not.”

New polling from the AOSWC and Spark Advocacy shows strong support for offshore wind development in Nova Scotia. Nearly 3 out of 4 of respondents had favorable views of offshore wind, but this support was conditional on concerns over risk management and potential impacts to marine ecosystems.
