What a giant leap forward would medical communication field make if the pharma MSL departments learned how to comment on the actual video animatics instead of screenshot PDFs in Veeva.

Discussing a video transition with the team. A colleague: - OK, so this could be like the wardrobe scene in Narnia, where the camera moves through a bunch of fur coats or something—except this isn’t Narnia, it’s a colorectal cancer biopsy.

Importance of thoughtful art-direction. Long time ago we did a 2D animation about some "omics" approaches in oncology. And these were our visuals for the human body and inner organs. If you don't see anything unusual, disturbing, or funny - good for you, you are probably a nice person!

We recently finished a nice series of animations for the amazing team at Kalohexis. Not every project starts with a fascinating 40-minute lecture from the client’s Chief Medical and Science Officer :)

A funny mistake we made recently. We were animating some hormone metabolism and made the hormone molecules float freely in the cytoplasm. Then, right before the final animatic, we realized that the hormones we were working with were lipophilic. So...

As a biomedical illustrator, I don't like Tregs because you never know how to color-code them. Like, are they good? Are they bad? Are they immunity, or part of TME? Always complex color-coding decisions that end up in brown-ish green in 90% of cases.

I cried when I first listened to Khlyvnyuk singing this song. A man of amazing talent and courage. I was a fan of his band Boombox some 15 years ago. The Kiffness is ok, but I wouldn’t put it as the song released by him. He just rode the wave of the moment. The tragic and horrible moment.
