That's a very good thought. I might just give it a try and if it to steeped in lore, I'll just tap out

I want to give Visionquest a try since there’s so many people I admire working on it behind the scenes. But I keep seeing comments that it’s a sequel to other shows that I have not and will not watch. Bummer!

Seeing Terry Matalas interview clips and remembering fondly when he was just amping up excitement for Picard by posting LCARS and stuff. I want that for Star Trek again

One bit I hated that’s not in my review: Wayne Knight was recounting the night he watched Star Trek and his parents were killed in a car accident. For reasons beyond comprehension, they included stock audio of a car crash. Unconscionable. I couldn’t believe they did that.

A ★★★★ review of The Sixty Year Mission: How Star Trek Changed Television and the World (2026)
This isn’t going to be my most objective review. I’ve read Mark Altman’s “50 Year Mission” a few times. And I’m a longtime listener of The Inglorious Treksperts podcast, and the hosts are all producer...

Some of these I've watched intentionally. But sometimes it's just a wonderful surprise to see a familiar face show up, like a few days ago when I was watching the 1986 film "The Hitcher" and lo and behold there was Armin Shimerman.

With "The Sixty Year Mission" Star Trek documentary premiering today, I want to again highlight my Letterboxd list of films I've watched with Star Trek actors. It's now over 200 movies long, spanning many genres and decades. Star Trek has had incredible talent. letterboxd.com/michaelstark...

I'm seeing Digger tonight, so I can't yet speak to the quality of the film. But it seems to me that maybe we shouldn't be primarily considering box office returns as the key component on the success of a film. Art deserves better than being considered a "flop" for purely financial reasons.

6 decades ago, Star Trek premiered on TV—and changed the world. Mark Altman has brought together writers, directors, producers, actors, and superfans to talk about that impact in The Sixty-Year Mission, co-produced by William Shatner. Opens this Friday! regmovi.es/44VJI0l.

Regarding Alex Cora, if someone were paying me $7 million to not work for the next year, why would I, you know, work?

Good news: know cheater Alex Cora won’t be managing the Phillies. Bad news: we may have to witness Don Mattingly recklessly manage a bullpen again.

I know baseball writers sometimes need to say outlandish things to get traffic, but any baseball writer suggesting the Phillies will trade Bryce Harper is flat out stupid.

Normally the day after the Phillies are knocked out of the playoffs, I feel down & sad — reflecting on what could have been Today I feel nothing. This is end was a forgone conclusion. And I think that’s indicative of where the Phillies are, and why change is needed Hurt me again, Phillies. Please.

The Phillies haven’t won a playoff series in 1,086 days. Is this exit the end of an era? (Gift Article)
The Phillies have lost 12 of their past 16 postseason games. Another October exit raises more questions about this core’s contention window.

I don’t know if it’ll be a full rebuild. There’s a decent core to rebuild around. But I don’t want DD to helm it.

The last gasp of this iteration of the Phillies. A long overdue change is coming. And if a guy can hope, Dave Dombrowski will be fired (he won’t be)

For the third straight postseason, the Phillies blow a Game 1 lead in the seventh inning or later. It's happening all over again. They lose, 5-3, and they face elimination Wednesday afternoon.

Aaron Nola is doing hero shit tonight for the Phillies. Regardless of how it goes, he’s our dude, like he has been so many times before. But an absolute indictment on this organization that he had to pitch on two days rest to secure a playoff spot

Entirely desperate thing to do, but at this point, what other options do the Phillies have? This organization, even if it manages to get to the postseason, is hemorrhaging in nearly every conceivable way. The one strength? The starting rotation, and now they'll find a way to fuck that up too.

It’s a weird thing to be a Phillies fan right now. Of course I want them to win. But I have no confidence this group can do it. We’re on year 5 of this core. Maybe the best long term thing that can happen is for them to miss the playoffs and the substantial change that’s overdue can finally happen

Jonathan Bowlan has warmed up every fucking night (just like Mayza and McFarlane), and has been gassed for weeks now. He was a walking injury waiting to happen due to fatigue, and it is the risk when your manager dry humps his pen every game.
