I hadn't dug into any of this and didn't know how much of the "sex cult" chatter was people expressing discomfort with sex parties and polyamory, but (among other issues in the thread) this event page completely burying any mention of consent is THE BIGGEST RED FLAG EVER WTF

Millions of Americans claim not to have heard of Mr. Bungle's 1999 hit "Pink Cigarette". This phenomenon says a lot about the role in-group signaling plays in today's modern hyper-fragmented social media landscape.

New: we are starting to get data showing what cops are using Axon's license plate cameras for, which are replacing Flock around the country. But we need your help: is your city using Axon? We have written the request you need to get this data yourself. Get it here: www.404media.co/is-your-city...

et voilà, a portrait of Garrett Langley, CEO of Flock, rendered from leaked Flock license plate camera images. Plates were redacted before rendering.

Every Flock "transparency" portal says that only vehicles and license plates are detected. It specifically states that people are NOT detected. But that is a lie. New reporting documents that people ARE also detected. What else is Flock lying about?
Screenshot from Flock transparency portal (https://transparency.flocksafety.com/chula-vista-ca-pd) stating that license plates and vehicles are detected. It also states that facial recognition, people, gender & race are NOT detected.Text from Wired article (https://www.wired.com/story/hackers-flock-camera-data-shows-how-system-works/):

While much of the automatic license plate reader’s most sensitive storage remained encrypted and inaccessible, the joint analysis of the recovered data shows that software running on the device explicitly detects people as well as vehicles, license plates, and bicycles.
