This is an awfully euphemistic way of defining this term. www.nytimes.com/2026/05/19/u...
"Panelists poked fun at citizens of largely Jewish Florida communities and used the term “j-pilling,” a slang term for skepticism of Jewish influence. Attendees complained that the event veered from antisemitic to misogynistic, with Mr. Schaffer quipping, “Most girls don’t need to be doing algebra, right?”"

One of the most sickening aspects of monitoring neo-Nazis is seeing how explicitly they target children and teenagers. Addressing this kind of radicalization takes a village.

We mourn with the San Diego Muslim community after a deadly shooting at the Islamic Center today. Our hearts break for the loved ones of the victims and at the images of children being led to safety. We must confront Islamophobia clearly, urgently and without hesitation.

You have to actively and repeatedly make your place unsafe for Islamaphobes, misogynists, antisemites, predators, homophobes, terfs. You have to do it once, and then you have to do it again, because they'll come back the moment they think they're allowed.

Given the prevalence of antisemitism in society, if your movement is large enough, it's there. If you don't think it is, it's probably because you either don't recognize it as antisemitism or you're ignoring it. (Same with misogyny or homophobia). Movements aren't "safe" unless we make them safe.

This "New York Times" op-ed on antisemitism on the left does itself no favors by comparing Hasan Piker saying Orthodox Jews are "inbred" - legitimate, indefensible antisemitism - with calling Israel a "fascist settler colonial apartheid state," which is legitimate if heated political debate.
"Consider the response to — really, the embrace of — Hasan Piker, a prominent left-wing commentator with millions of online followers. He referred to Orthodox Jews as “inbred” and said “America deserved 9/11,” both statements he halfheartedly walked back. He said that Hamas — a designated terrorist organization that has killed Americans and taken Americans hostage — is “a thousand times better” than Israel, America’s ally, which he called a “fascist settler colonial apartheid state” — a statement he stands by. None of this should be waved away as mere edgy commentary. Mr. Piker traffics in antisemitic and anti-American extremism that has been met by silence from many on the Democratic left."

I need to people to understand that believing in "some wacky conspiracy theories" IS LITERALLY WHAT ANTISEMITISM IS. The core claim of racism is "Other races are inferior to us." The core claim of antisemitism is "Jews are engaged in a conspiracy against us."

Because this often gets lost, this wasn't just Nazis targeting the LGBTQ community. Hirschfeld's Jewishness cannot be untangled from why the Nazis came for his library; what separates Nazism from fascism is the belief that Jews are the corrupters of society, in this case, by promoting LGBTQ culture.

It really bothers me that what gets glossed over in The Discourse is that Nazi symbols are not just offensive. They hurt people. They can thrust survivors back into the worst moments of their lives. No matter what the person wearing them knew or meant. I wish there were more compassion about that.

The word “Judeo-Christian” was INVENTED in the mid-19th c. as a way of referring to Jewish converts to Christianity & the attempt to convert Jews to Christianity. To say nothing of the fact that Jews have their own 2000+ years of tradition independent of Christianity.

Correct. There is no situation in which voting for a Nazi is ok. Nazis and people who support Nazis are not allies, they are not in solidarity, and they should not be welcome in polite society, let alone the Democratic Caucus in the United States Senate.

Speaking of arguments that do seem to be gaining ground, a line of reasoning I'm not fond of is that every single Jew anywhere is personally responsible for Israel's actions, but Christians who do something bad don't count as Christians at all. If fact, if you look at it, they're really Jews! [1]

Fun fact: many of the prettiest photos taken by robotic spacecraft were similarly framed ahead of time by humans using simulators of view geometry to pick when the spacecraft should shoot the photo. Case in point: this photo of Europa over Jupiter from New Horizons science.nasa.gov/image-detail...
New Horizons Spies Europa
NASA's New Horizons spacecraft took this image of Europa hanging above Jupiter's cloud tops with its Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) at 11:48 Universal Time on February 28, 2007, six hours after the spacecraft's closest approach to Jupiter. The picture was one of a handful of the Jupiter system that New Horizons took primarily for artistic, rather than scientific, value. This particular scene was suggested by space enthusiast Richard Hendricks of Austin, Texas, in response to an Internet request by New Horizons scientists for evocative, artistic imaging opportunities at Jupiter. The spacecraft was 2.3 million kilometers (1.4 million miles) from Jupiter and 3 million kilometers (1.8 million miles) from Europa when the picture was taken. Europa's diameter is 3,120 kilometers (1,939 miles). The image is centered on Europa coordinates 5 degrees south, 6 degrees west. In keeping with its artistic intent - and to provide a more dramatic perspective - the image has been rotated so south is at the top.
