I just saw this on The Happiness Institute’s Facebook page. I love this more balanced idea of ‘hope’. Sometimes in my own mind I confuse ‘staying positive’ or being optimistic with ‘hope’. I want to keep aiming for holding pain and possibility ❤️‍🩹 @drtimsharp.bsky.social

Instead of responding only with thoughts and prayers, Australia will respond with laws and regulations. Because, unlike the United States, it values the lives of its citizens over any sick adulation of firearms. The 1996 Port Arthur massacre led to immediate, sweeping, bipartisan gun law reforms.

Our community mourns the loss of Chad, who lived with RET+ lung cancer for 2.5 years. He loved deeply, lifted others and faced every setback with courage. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder: we still have a long way to go. Chad deserved more time. #LungCancerAwareness

Was talking to a student today about the benefits of #smokingcessation. I always refer back to this chart which I find so compelling. Quitting today has both IMMEDIATE & long term benefits. It ⬆️ survival by 🔟➕yrs & saves $13k/yr in the cost of 🚬 & health related expenses. 🚭

We like to believe that our conscious or unconscious bias against people who smoke/d isn’t evident. It’s time to change the conversation and reflect on our biases. Everyone deserves hope, compassion and respect, regardless of their smoking history and cancer type. is.gd/igDdYz
