A collection of the things in Filonis brand of Star Wars that I don’t like (space whales world between worlds,..) mixed with an unsubtle display of Japanese influences and ‘things that looked cool’ in other movies plus American POV grab bag of mythology. Yet somehow looking cool. 6/10

And that’s why you need someone who says no to actors like Rian Johnson should’ve done when Benicio del Toro started to use a stutter.

Managed to watch the D23 Starfighter footage. Why does this look a hundred times better than anything since the sequel trilogy (minus Andor)?

I REALLY REALLY don’t want to be negative but boy, the 2 sentences about Starfighter excite me more than anything in the Ahsoka S2 trailer.

Good. Life action for big theatrical events. Animation for fan pleasing fillers. A proven formula.

EVERYONE GETS A LIGHTSABER. That Ahsoka trailer looks so cluttered. Ships everywhere, frames filled with stuff.. Less is more.

It’s insane to me that Harry Potter fans care more about protecting a fictional grave than they do protecting trans people and their rights.

So.. contrary to what everyone said literally every single tadpole we put into our sons fishtank/terrarium survived, turned into a toad and is doing great. They are actually thriving and even come waiting to be fed, so this is the view when you enter the living room:

The secret of success for Star Wars is imho big cinematic events and smaller animated shows, so I agree with this. I’d have thought it’s impossible to fuck up an Obi Wan and Boba Fett show, but somehow… www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2026/08/disn...

Finally managed to watch The Odyssey. Sold out screening a week in. Wish Star Wars would still manage that. Really loved it. Anyway, here are some places that are not the original filming locations but places I’ve been to that are either close or reminiscent. Sicily, Kefalonia, Crete, Malta

The 10 year old Star Wars Celebration London 2016 crew shirts arrived. 2 for 3,50€. Couldn’t pass on the opportunity. It was a special celebration for me. Rogue One and all. It’s where I fell in love with the Shoretrooper armor and the rest is history.

I gotta say. As someone who pretty much stopped reading Star Wars novels because most stories didn’t interest me (sorry but never connected to the High Republic stuff) I’m actually excited about this. Maybe I need to know my characters from the screen. And I’m always up for more Leia and Rey.
