Overall I can't connect to Mend as much as Eviscerate, but I don't think that's a fair comparison to make. I don't think I've ever related to an album so deeply as Eviscerate, which spoke to me on every level: physical, emotional, spiritual, and political. Future listens could change this though

those feelings that are presented by Eviscerate instead of being controlled like them. Eviscerate is our war with demons our, both inner and outer. Mend is the rebuilding after said war ends.

Mend does a very good job at what it sets out to do though, which is to thematically contrast Eviscerate. Where the previous album is almost depressing both musically and lyrically, Mend is uplifting and inspiring. A hint of Eviscerate is still there, but Mend feels like it's trying to overcome

Mixed thoughts on the new Eidola album. It's very good, but I was hoping for more Eviscerate sound wise, and this feels more like a blend of The Architect and Degeneraterra. The collaborative tracks were a nice surprise as well.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you aren't paying close attention to this show, especially if you're a fan of Red vs Blue. I couldn't ask for a better spiritual successor. Please go watch it

Black Ops 6 has it but it's not great there either. There have been several games where my entire lobby has agreed that the PotG that got chosen was definitely not the most impressive moment of the game

it may just be recency bias then. I tried Stadia at launch in 2019 and it felt lackluster to Game Pass streaming, which I had been using since alpha earlier that year. But Game Pass launched its beta the same month as Stadia and only one platform could handle Destiny 2 raiding on my wifi. Not Stadia

I understand that's a way more complicated process especially for console games, but speaking as someone who has previously bought entire consoles for a single game, the potential return on investment seems high, especially if you can keep people engaged with your ecosystem(s)

SRV Zephyr @srvzephyr.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

Google could have course corrected too. Allow library linking on a base tier and then include a higher tier with a "Game Pass Core like" selection of titles. Hell if they'd partnered with Sony to allow library linking they could have made a KILLING on people wanting first party PS games

SRV Zephyr @srvzephyr.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

having finally tried GeForce Now on my vacation this week, I truly don't understand how Google expect Stadia to succeed against it and X Cloud/Game Pass. Both of those services include games or let you use your own library, on top of just being a better streaming service.
