In last year's by-election, ABC ran Ralph Kaisers, head of the Vancouver police union, who was under investigation for potentially helping cover up a murder. It seems if you're facing criminal investigation in your day job, ABC offers a nice escape!

Watched a bit of the 2017 #anime OVA *Penguin Highway* based on a 2010 novel of the same name by Tomihiko Morimi. Animation is lovely, with luminous backgrounds. Very gently-paced story that, I understand, gets more and more surreal as it goes.

One of my peers (freshly in social housing!) wanted his latest 💩 phone set up - an xs18pro - a laughable tiny Android 9 3G phone! Despite Rogers/Chatr having turned off 3G support in 2025 the xs17 could make calls but it stymied Google & couldn't set up new G account! #Vancouver

At counter in #Vancouver South Granville McD's. Someone played with stick-on letters of the "Mobile Order Pick Up" sign. Staff noticed but seemed powerless in the face of such sophisticated vandalism. Did my best to fix it but "R" is gone - pehaps eaten while someone waited for their real order.
