My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.

Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

@devilligan.bsky.social and Clym clipped laughing at the thought of a Minkie stealing a dog. STORY TIME! I had a preggo friend who would always visit me. When she had the baby, I ended up looking after her dogs. Her tiny geriatric dog (think a white Clemmy) was a skeleton. Kept outside in winter.

Dad was in hosp for a few hours. Likely cause a seizure. The blood spitting was a tongue injury. No family history of epilepsy. Bloods fine. Neuro physical fine. No injuries to head or neck. I saw him this arvo. He was lucid, but a bit sedated.

We're all worried because last time he nearly died. Last time I got a call 'dad's going to die today' while I lived 8 hours DRIVE away

I just rang a potential adopter. A woman answered the phone. I asked if they were driving, and lady answered 'my wife is driving.' I got a thrill. Catching a same sex couple that's married in the wild! A few years ago that wouldn't have been possible. The world is shit, but we can still find hope.
