In an unprecedented move for me, I have a SECOND fic for @jayvikbigbang.bsky.social!! Thanks so much to my wonderful partner @poscipeep.bsky.social, whose prompt had my brain immediately going a mile an hour. Currently rated T, but rating may go up later on 😈 (links threaded)

Summary says, "Viktor’s excited to spend his sabbatical researching wolves in Yellowstone – he’s got everything planned - travel, lodging, an absurd number of winter clothing layers, borrowing fellow researcher Sky’s Subaru on a carefully laid out schedule. What he didn’t plan for was Jayce Talis starting his new job with the Yellowstone Wolf Project.

It’s been a decade since they dated, since the best thing in his life fell apart not with a bang, but with a whimper, and he’s sure it would take another decade for him to be able to say he’s over it and actually mean it. Running into Jayce isn’t the worst thing that could happen, but it throws Viktor off his game, flares up old grievances and irritations that he thought he’d put behind him.

When an early storm puts Viktor out of a home for the winter season, Jayce offers his own lodgings, “Just like old times,” and Viktor would be a fool to take him up on the offer, but a bigger fool not to.

It’s awkward and living together again brings back the ghosts of all the ways they managed to hurt each other when they were younger…but also it starts to heal something between them in a way that has Viktor terrified for his heart once more."

Someone on tumblr got exactly what I was going for with this, and this means A LOT to me. Crashing Waves is a complex project and I've thought about abandoning it several times. It doesn’t get much visibility and is very hard to draw with my skills. This makes me believe I can go on and finish it.

"Viktor’s brain plays out a dozen different scenarios in the span of a second, all ones he’s worn over like a favored lucky coin in the last ten years – imaginary conversations, fights, reconciliations, a thousand snide comments he could say, that he could hear, a hundred ways to cut, to guilt, to manipulate only the way you can with someone whose heart has been bared to you.

Jayce turns the corner at the end of Viktor’s aisle and there’s no running and definitely no hiding without it being Extremely Obvious that that’s what Viktor is doing, and his pride takes over for his body, stilling it immediately, hands coming together to rest (very casually of course) over the top of his cane.

Okay new @peculiarityshop.bsky.social haul just came in (several orders together A++) so obligatory photo time. Some of these items were specifically to go with stuff I got previously and hhhhh excitement! Turns out I had the perfect chunky chain to go with that incredible mystic quartz pendant 😻🥰

Smiling white lady in blue flannel with a chonkin' huge mystic quartz pendant that matches a smaller pair of earrings. One hand is trying to highlight the earring with moderate success. The lighting cannot manage to capture the sparkle and shine of either gem.

The same white lady, in pretty much the same pose, highlighting one of the teardrop opal earrings (a shimmering blue, orange, and green combo), which matches an oval opal pendant suspended horizontally.

Golly it's me again trying badly to show off the raven necklace charm and matching earring, along with another earring of a howling wolf partially silhouetted with a full moon. Below the raven charm necklace is another necklace in a lariat style - on one end of the chain is the metal outline of a star, which slips through the metal outline of a crescent moon.

A white lady hand with chipped purple nail polish badly modeling a gorgeous bracelet made of sturdy, ornate sterling links with blue flash labradorite. There is a chunky ring with a lovely orangey bit of ammolite on the pointer finger and a cool ring on her middle finger with a center of purple jadeite surrounded with purple gems (maybe amethyst?) almost like a sun.

Arcane heads into the omegaverse in this Alpha Viktor / Omega Jayce tale from writer @squidbittles.bsky.social! What will come of this dance of pheromones, heats, and ruts?

"“You know, it occurs to me that maybe I was a little hasty coming back to work,” Jayce says. Viktor whips his head around at that, and Jayce grins at him. “Maybe we should get those pastries from the lab and then you could walk me back to my apartment?” He squeezes Viktor’s hand, clasped in his. “You know, for safety’s sake.”

“Hmm, well, if it’s for safety,” Viktor replies, catching on. He leans into Jayce’s personal space, delicately scenting the air around Jayce’s neck and jaw – it’s nothing, really, and certainly much less obscene than what Jayce had been doing to Viktor’s neck not ten minutes ago, but it’s still a bold move by Piltover standards, especially in the middle of a hallway where anyone could see. It speaks of a claim already accepted and in progress. It takes everything in Jayce to not lean right into it. “You know, I think you’re right,” Viktor adds. “What kind of alpha would I be if I didn’t make sure you got home safely when you’re clearly still so…ripe.”
