I loved Jacob’s work to. It inspired me. That’s not gonna change. It will always be a part of my life. But I wish I had given that love and time and money and attention to someone who was also making great art who hadn’t violated someone so completely. He didn’t give me that choice. I have it now.

One thing that's been bothering me in the last couple days is I have never seen this level of "we should forgive and forget" "rehabilitation" for any woman doing anything perceived as or actually wrong no matter how small compared to literally having sexually assaulted someone.

I think what I resent the most is that all of us, especially the women who worked with him, were a part of his rehabilitation (at least image-wise) without us ever getting to choose if that was something we wanted to participate in. He didn't let us or his audience make a choice. How ironic.

i even agree with a lot of the points about our pasts not defining us, the measure of a person is in the totality of their words and deeds, etc., but the crucial part of all of this is there wasn't a way for us to measure the man by the totality of his words and deeds until now!
