one thing about mental hospitals is that they do tend to give you many ideas to write and draw about! not saying i recommend it but 9 days spent locked up with a bunch of other mentally unwell people gave us a multitude of interesting stories and lots of time to think LOL -✂️

We once took an elderly ham from our local shelter who was found dumped by a bin and she was so excited by food that she put it in a pile on the wheel and sat on it. I wasn’t sure what to call her and opened up suggestions on Twitter and someone suggested Betty White because she was a tough old girl

It’s pretty simple. We let rich men & corporations control the flow of information to a large portion of the population—the older folks who are not online, or if they are, have few skills to spot propaganda. The information people are getting is highly biased. We have 2 different realities now.

I think there is a reason behind the “to save humanity” rhetoric and it’s that this framing invokes ends-justify-the-means thinking even in folks who are not dipshit utilitarians. It’s the “I was cheating on you to save our marriage” of space exploration contractors.
