@caseyliss @marcoarment speaking of air conditioning/heating/cooling it’s useful to set up better-thermostat.org with a sensor or few on top of your actual thermostats. I’ve used it for a few years, and I love it

@marcoarment so ironic that the thing that was supposed to be a failover mechanism became a single point of failure that failed in just 6 months. Maybe you should plug your macs 50/50 to the 2 PDUs you have and get a UPS for your Unifi gateway (which would be your SPOF then)? ;)

I just installed a couple water leak sensors and connected to #HomeAssistant trough #Zigbee2MQTT which recognizes it as a SNZB-05P They work - but every day I see a short connectivity drop. Does anyone know if some timeout or something can be adjusted to suppress this message?

@rmondello trying to sign in to Aliexpress with Passkey fails. I'm suspecting they didn't properly implement it. How can I see passkey data (not the keys themselves, just the domains the passkey is associated with)? I believe they might have missed some domains in it..

@marcoarment more than an MDM you seem to need something for initial provisioning, and I believe Apple Configurator would help here. It’s an app that can help you apply configurations on Macs/iOS devices that could help you skip those configuration wizards:)

@marcoarment you do NOT need to wipe them, unless you want to put them in supervised mode (which I don’t think you need). All you need to do is install management profile to enroll them to some MDM and that does not require a wipe.

@caseyliss for Home stuff (VMs, docker) I’d recommend an Intel N100/150 mini PC with Proxmox VE on it. Until I got a dedicated Home Assistant machine I was running it in a VM. Definitely better to run Home Assistant OS in a VM than a docker container
