@atpfm The iMac G4 always reminded me of a …luxo lamp with screen instead of a lamp on the end

@twoprops yup, that’s a decent choice for a solar node. There’s a screenless version of it BTW

@siracusa yeah, I suppose you’d have to re-release mp3 file with fixed chapter metadata.

@siracusa you could also have 3d print mounts for SSDs (in USB enclosures) and tape them under the desk with magic/nano tape ;)

@atpfm I thought I’m right handed (in general I’m using right hand for most precise stuff, like writing), but I am using my phone usually with my left hand

@nirik @homeassistant got it a few months back, I had it leak (thankfully nothing too serious) during mop cleaning in the dock. Returned it and got Dreame X40 Ultra, much happier with it and no issues so far. I’ve installed Valetudo on bothnon day1

Nie chodzi Ci przypadkiem o urządzenia Matter over WiFi?

@caseyliss @marcoarment speaking of air conditioning/heating/cooling it’s useful to set up better-thermostat.org with a sensor or few on top of your actual thermostats. I’ve used it for a few years, and I love it

@kowalski7cc not all small antennas are terrible. Consider switching to Heltec T114 or T096. V3 and V4 are very power hungry - since they're ESP32-based.

@anthropy try finding local mesh groups on Facebook (ugh), maybe people will be able to help. If you have to put up a repeater somewhere doing it on public infrastructure is probably not a great idea, but something like a solar-powered tree node might be it.

@anthropy probably. Have you checked which #Meshtastic preset is used around you? If you can’t find it try running “Local Mesh Discovery” from app settings, it should help you discover that.

@marcoarment so ironic that the thing that was supposed to be a failover mechanism became a single point of failure that failed in just 6 months. Maybe you should plug your macs 50/50 to the 2 PDUs you have and get a UPS for your Unifi gateway (which would be your SPOF then)? ;)

@Larvitz @homeassistant you could also use PoE powered Zigbee coordinator. It fixes 2 problems: it’s easier to put it in a more central location, and you can use it with Z2M running on a VM, with no USB passthrough

@jamesoff It’s not inside of my house so I could consider that, just to be able to check if everything is fine with my car if alarm went off (my car’s app can notify me about that). But it’s crazy to me you even „ *can* make the feed public.
