The base camp for the Grand Teton peak hike is 11,000 ft above sea level. Would put Mexico City and Denver to shame

Why is one of their noses flaccid but the other nose erect?

I don't think this will happen but on the slim chance it does I want to be on the record. Astros and Rangers go 1/2 on the last 2 games. Astros make the playoffs with a losing record. Astros get hot, go all the way and win. Rob Manfred is forced to resign in disgrace.

I'm counting chickens, but imagine the joy of a losing-record team making a deep playoff run

looks like the english translations will slowly be trickling out a volume every three months or so

You're telling me there's going to be 18 more volumes of this? How can it escalate beyond the fictional cartoon bat existing as a real force of both good and evil and telling ***** to betray *****?

Seeing Mauricio Dubón succeed with the Braves is what seeing your ex with a handsome doctor must feel like

There should be a podcast that creates a condensed watch order for every season of baseball and talks about each season from the origins to today

I might clarify (because it could cause hurt feelings!) that FOC is the last time a shop can edit orders, so if you call your shop 15 minutes before close on FOC day you might be either causing them a headache or be unable to guarantee they'll have a copy for you

For a new Star Trek they should revisit the episode where Picard has to argue that Data is a person but have it be a delusional Captain convinced their AI slop assistant is a person and Starfleet having to tell them no, it's just a stochastic parrot

Ordered for an 8 episode season. Episode 4 will be Lorelei's matrilineal ancestor, a rebellious Puritan in Thomas Hooker's Connecticut Colony in Hartford.

I want to like it more than I actually did, precisely for the reason you loved it. I wanted less business as usual and some sort of hook! But I agree that Moon's art is the real draw so far.

I remember people joking about how their titles should be switched because No Country was bloodier and TWBB featured "older" men (in a sense)

There was a listicle with this premise back in the day (cracked.com, maybe?) that I remember mentioned Gold Digger, Cortez the Killer, and Escape (Pina Colada Song) as good premises for movies

Rick is the self-insert. Cliff is a meta stand-in for Tarantino's movies. Violent, misogynist, superseding the Asian cinema it took inspiration from, and a relic of a bygone era. Tarantino is reflecting on his career, concluding that art can imagine a better world absent historical sins

As someone who also at times finds Vaughan's work grating, Saga works better for partially because the space opera setting means Vaughan can't do Whedonesque pop culture patter (or at least has to do it a bit more obliquely)
