Parody of the "feeding cats to coyotes tweet"

Batman told me Joker keeps killing his Robins so I asked how many Robins he has and he said he just goes to the orphanage and gets a new Robin afterwards so I said it sounds like he's just feeding Robins to Joke and then his butler started crying

I don't think they ever even got to the titular event. They Surf Dracula-ed the mysterious big thing the whole show was named after and never got to it. You can hate LOST all you want, but its imitators were infinitely worse

I'm dying. Timaeus ends by stating that stupid people are reincarnated as fish because they don't deserve to breathe air.
The fourth kind of animal, the kind that lives in water, came from those men who were without question the most stupid and ignorant of all. The gods who brought about their transformation concluded that these no longer deserved to breathe pure air, because their souls were tainted with transgressions of every sort. Instead of letting them breathe rare and pure air, they shoved them into water to breathe its murky depths. This is the origin of fish, of all shellfish, and of every water-inhabiting animal. Their justly due reward for their extreme stupidity is their extreme dwelling place.

Okay like here. It's impressive how close to accurate Plato understands sound waves, but why does he think the hearing process involves the liver?
A third kind of perception that we want to consider is hearing. We must describe the causes that produce the properties connected with this perception. In general, let us take it that sound is the percussion of air by way of the ears upon the brain and the blood and transmitted to the soul, and that hearing is the motion caused by the percussion that begins in the head and ends in the place where the liver is situated. And let us take it that whenever the percussion is rapid, the sound is high-pitched, and that the slower the percussion, the lower the pitch. A regular percussion produces a uniform, smooth sound, while a contrary one produces one that is rough. A forceful percussion produces a loud sound, while a contrary one produces one that is soft. But we must defer discussion of harmonization in sounds to a later part of our discourse.

Why is Timaeus responding to Socrates like a sycophantic AI chatbot?
SOCRATES: And what did we say about the procreation of children? We couldn’t possibly forget that subject, because what we said about it was so unusual. We decided that they should all have spouses and children in common and that schemes should be devised to prevent anyone of them from recognizing his or her own particular child. Everyone of them would believe that they all make up a single family, and that all who fall within their own age bracket are their sisters and brothers, that those who are older, who fall in an earlier bracket, are their parents or grandparents, while those who fall in a later one are their children or grandchildren.

TIMAEUS: You’re right. That really was an unforgettable point.

This is one of those comics things that legitimately could be from the writer, the artist, the letterer, or the designer, but I am in love with how NEWS FROM THE FALLOUT did their supplemental backmatter. There is an attention to detail that I rarely see in other comics.

The @houstonchronicle.com published my comments on how Houston ought to treat immigrants (regardless of legal status). I stand by this. www.houstonchronicle.com/opinion/outl...
Stephen Adkison, Harris County: Before it was gutted, the council proposal was a good first step. Immigrants are people, regardless of how they got here. They are entitled to a decent life and Fourth Amendment protections. The Houston Police Department should not be arresting someone merely for their immigration status.

As a community, we need to continue to step up and protect the Houstonians that live here.
Our politicians need to take the fight to President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott and whoever else is trying to say that immigrants don't belong in our great city.

I love the effort but this spread from ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #19 doesn't work for me. I think panels 4 and 5 need to be combined to let the reader know to read across the spine and not jump to row 2, and the same for the top and middle rightmost panels. The Z for Zatanna is neat.
WW, Zantanna, and Zatara try to figure out how to deal with the Iron Maiden, a trap for Zatara. The panels are supposed to be read in a Z shape.

John Whitmire and the Houston City Council passed a regulation to protect Houstonians from HPD breaking the 4th amendment and detaining people without criminal charge on ICE warrants...only to change their mind once Greg Abbott threatened to defund the police if they didn't
The myth of consensual city government. If Greg Abbott says no, you aren't allowed to do anything, apparently.

I wonder what species of ape he was thinking of. Gorillas, as an example, weren't "discovered" by the West until the mid 1800s, so it couldn't be them.
When Were Gorillas Discovered

American naturalist Thomas S. Savage conducted an expedition into Africa, stumbling upon the first evidence of gorilla existence. In 1847, he found a skull that did not match any other skulls on record. He declared the skull a new species, garnering interest in conducting further expeditions to the area.

Between 1855 and 1859, French explorer Paul Du Chaillu took Thomas Savage’s research and conducted an expedition to Gabon, Central Africa. His journey confirmed the existence of gorillas with visual sightings and photographic evidence.
