Working on my wife's portfolio website and solved a design problem by using CSS round(). This is a less used yet very useful function! Here is my article about it, and will update it soon with a new use case: ishadeed.com/article/css-...

The skill that made me a much better software architect? Refactoring. Too many "senior" software folks are like the guy who says "I'm a great husband. I must be - I've been married 9 times." Spend a few years living with and fixing poor design choices, and you'll tend to make better ones.

Disgusting and reprehensible though this is, because of the "unique way political neutrality works" in the UK, it is useful for someone to say the quiet part out loud because then it becomes a real thing to be deflected, rather than a hypothetical political imaginary to be lightly conjured

Green party leader branded the strikes a breach of international law. The conservatives party said it was important to understand the full facts before rushing to judgment.

And now for today’s climate forecast …
Today’s Climate Forecast

And onto today’s climate forecast,
where we can expect to see a prolonged spell of inaction,
interspersed with patches of hazy promises
across many areas.

Over Westminster and other centres of government,
a build-up of hot air will cause inactivity to soar
to record levels over the coming days,
in spite of the high pressure.

Elsewhere, a front of chronic misinformation
will sweep in from the east,
bringing with it a thick band of climate change deniers
and the chance of scattered falsehoods,

while powerful gusts of idiocy and ignorance
look set to blow across social media.
Outbreaks of ‘We just got on with it in 1976’
and ‘It’s called the British summer, mate’ are likely.

In summary: unsettling.
