A shepherd in a mossy forest, drinking tea with his sheep, looking at a massive skull, overgrown in moss.

A lone skeleton sitting on a fallen log, holding an oak sapling in moonlight as the forest floor slowly grows up his legs.

A skeleton in a chef's hat, serving breakfast to a black cat on the kitchen table in the morning light.

A fire lookout tower, standing above the forest that surrounds it, while the sun sets in the background.

This is more common than you’d sadly think. In the anime voice acting sphere, there is a series of animated films made by an actual cult known as Happy Science. A lot of household name actors have voiced in these; I doubt many of them knew that when they recorded. Sometimes it’s just a paycheck.

God I adore this cover to Clive Barker’s THE HELLBOUND HEART. I do think I prefer over Hellraiser. If only because it keeps the Cenobites so cosmic and mysterious.

Cover to THE HELLBOUND HEART. Showing a face made of several entwined bodies. A man and four pale demonic figures all locked in some sensual embrace. With large photoreal eyes at the centre of their copulating bodies.

I don't want to be a cunt but the way this is being reporting is kind of... gross? Clicking the link leads to a report about homosexuality being criminalized for the first time in Niger's history. Asexuality is only mentioned insofar as the acronym "LGBTQIA+" is used a few times.

In June 2026, the nation of Niger became the first nation in the world to criminalise asexuality, as part of a wider crackdown on the LGBTQIA+ community. The country, currently run by a military junta, broadened its anti-LGBTQIA+ laws, increasing the criminalisation of LGBTQIA+ ‘practices’ to include anyone who ‘attempts to’ participate.

Niger criminalises same-sex intimacy for the first time in its history

Neighbouring francophone countries under military rule, Burkina Faso and Mali, also recently criminalised homosexuality

The West African nation of Niger has enacted a law criminalising consensual same-sex intimacy for the first time in its history.

The new Penal Code of Niger is understood to introduce a provision criminalising ‘indecent or unnatural acts’ and ‘sexual relations with a person of the same sex’, though the Code is not yet publicly available. It is also understood to contain other wide-ranging provisions such as criminalising ‘LGBTQIA+ practices’ and involvement in organisations ‘for homosexuals or LGBTQIA+’. Imprisonment terms are up to 20 years and are accompanied by heavy fines.
