6/13 Using ‘unkind’ is also what’s called a veiled threat. When someone uses a veiled threat it’s so that they can have plausible deniability. You know and she knows that she doesn’t actually mean ‘unkind’, she means something worse.

5/13 The use of ‘unkind’ is deliberate so that if someone calls her out (like I am) she can say they’re over reacting. What’s the big deal about being unkind, she might say? That’s not a real threat. If she were to respond that way it would be gaslighting.

The message is never actually "you should hate x (drag shows, wokeness, whatever) because it's bad," but rather, "you should hate x because *I say* it's bad." Their goal (like that of any tyrant or cult leader) is to become the arbiters of reality.
