I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

New taxes are already prohibited without ballot measures in California. Props 41 - 44 are designed to negate the billionaire tax. That's all. Prop 45 removes environmental restrictions for data centers. We're so easily fooled, it's sad. YES on prop 40 (billionaire tax) NO on props 41-45.

the thing about impeaching Vought is that it will ruin his life. pull his kids and wife in for sixteen hour depositions. refer them all for perjury. scream in his face. when you're done, if it didn't work, do it again.

If the lessons Democrats (& democrats) draw from DOGE is “right idea, wrong implementation,” we are doomed. Everyone involved in the unprecedented crime that was DOGE needs to go to jail forever, & Democrats need to rebuild all of the programs & agencies first, not do digital management consulting 🤦‍♂️

Man we were losing to IEDs and dudes in pickup trucks as far back as the 2000s. Our military was being driven out of nations by guerilla warfare in the 70s. We have been wasting money on the military for as long as I've been alive, because we cannot fight asymmetrical conflicts. We tend to lose.

At the leadership level anyway the two parties are "represents billionaires with openly racist beliefs" and "represents billionaires who have mostly submerged their racist and genocidal beliefs." Which is why you can't get any party leadership to sign up for transformative change the people want.

Pretty clear to me there’s a very good case against this man for mass murder, and I’m saying that in as measured a fashion as I can. He’s order the killing of 234 people under no plausible war or legal justification. I am skeptical he will ever face legal accountability for til his but he should.

On top of that, with all their debt and spending commitments, they'll have to be making more revenue than Microsoft by next year to have any hope of breaking even. So just 100x their revenue from last year when they were subsidizing about 95% of their enterprise clients compute.
120
SpaceAceNate @spaceacenate.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
And you can tell they're unprofitable because they only talk about their revenue in terms of run rate (i.e. multiplying one periods income out to a whole year) and leaked documents from 2025 show they spent like 10x their revenue in capex. www.fool.com/investing/20...

From what I understand, no, selling AI isn't profitable. Anthropic has to subsidize it's users because compute is so expensive (and also not profitable for the compute vendors) an enormous amount, so they make less money the more people use their model.

If we're calling what all these companies are doing "super intelligence" now, then that means we can get back to using "AI" to describe all the useful shit we were doing before the techbros happened.

So I get the pessimism and also think they're going to get a lot of our tax dollars (that MUST be clawed back), but I genuinely don't think they're going to be able to get "bailed out." They'd need $100Bs of not $1Ts annually to make up their losses because AI is so unprofitable. Not gonna happen.

SpaceAceNate @spaceacenate.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Gonna tell us how they made that calculation? No? Just gonna accept it in spite of all the historical evidence that OAI is full of shit and ARR is what companies report when they're woefully unprofitable? OK 🙄
