Infloresce Vol. 3 Aphrodisiac (18+) We're hosting two listening parties to celebrate the release of our new album. 🌼🎶 Pick a time for you, or come to both! Event details: infloresce.com/infloresce-v... (Our website will automatically display dates/times in your time zone.)

Event flyer. Text reads, "Infloresce Vol. 3 - Aphrodisiac. Listening party. 18+.

First listen - Thursday, September 24 at 6 PM Pacific Time.
Second listen - Saturday, October 3 at 12 PM Pacific Time.

twitch.tv/infloresce"

The text is accompanied by a classical art-inspired illustration, of a feminine knight in silver armor, floating in a dark pond with lily pads and white flowers. Her dark hair blends into the water. Her face is content with pleasure as two naked water nymphs hold her arms, and one gently kisses her lips.

i had started this like wayyyy before everflow came out and we only had the concert version to reference which is why the chorus has drums... i kinda wish they were in the actual track 😔

it's a setting that forces you to not just appropriately fill in space but also to write contrapuntally to the rest of the arrangement... and you gotta do it with 4-5 voices (stream hopes, dreams, wings by vally.exe & soundcirclet) www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPuj...

pop/non-classical string writing isn't really something they teach you in academia... i still think some of my best arranging went into this song,,, i'm still quite proud of it even with it being a fucking star rail fansong lol

it’s true that ace combat is propaganda but instead of military it’s religious propaganda. because they’ll sincerely have you believing that jesus christ himself reincarnated to bring forth salvation from the cockpit of an F-15

shingo kataoka left this comment on the liner notes and it's crazy to me that not only did they still have access to these modules, but they made an effort in the side of the whole production TO adhere within all those same constraints just for the sake of these new tracks

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 31/08/2026

the new tracks from the saga frontier 2 remaster are insanely good and they're all sequenced using the same soundsets from 30 years ago! so we have all these fresh new additions to the SF2 musical universe by younger composers written in the same sound palette! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bofj...

xenogears having like some of my favourite game music ever is really funny because i dropped the game like 10 hours in because i got really frustrated at the overworld platforming... it's truly one of the games of all time, it's a game I 'love' but can't actually say I 'enjoy'

I can't really think of many themes that capture such an emotional core quite like this one does and I'm not even really a KH fan lol, but shimomura's work does so without really complicated musical ideas - her melodies and progressions are simple, but that's what makes them hit.

140

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 06/08/2026

imo vector to the heavens is shimomura's musical magnum opus, but i love the original a lot because it has this cool polyrhythmic triplet figure in the low strings that creates this 'rhythmic dissonance' that is otherwise missing in every following version

leonard bernstein would not be laughing in his grave btw, absolutely laughable misread of his character like, the guy who wrote music for west side story?? being elitist about music written for new media?? historically one of the kindest most open minded and respectful musicians ever???

only musicians would understand the bleakness of… conducting to a clicktrack 😱😱😱 she has lost absolutely EVERYTHING…. reduced to conducting GAMES MUSIC to FILIPINOS 🤢🤢🤢

one my favourite things to do is to look up the ending to tár (2022) and read boomer comments analyzing their take on the scene. EXCEPTIONALLY funny reads if you’re someone working in game audio

UPDATE: The Criware audio portion of the Gens 2024 mod loader is FINALLY mostly done, and I've begun the testing phase. This was a complex project which required multiple years of reverse engineering and programming efforts. I'm happy it's finally coming together! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CKp...

(i lay off on this mindset a bit more when it comes to client work lol but i consider that separate to my personal art and music that are mainly just me expressing myself)

011

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 20/07/2026

tbqh i don’t /really/ care about how my work comes across to the layperson, BUT its to say i still welcome anyone to leave comments and remarks on my work graciously. i just make sure to vet the feedback/critique i get to make sure it’s coming from a place that aligns with my goals artistically.

110

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 20/07/2026

i care not for the thoughts of someone who can only EXTRAPOLATE what it is to write music. i want to hear from people who've actively put parts of themselves on the line for that same craft; anything less than that is worth nothing to me.

070

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 20/07/2026

i do not wish to go onto a detailed reason why i feel this way, but it's to do with the fact that I truly believe any form of feedback on a 'creative art' given by people who themselves have not experienced what it's like to CREATE art of that form is worthless-

170

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 20/07/2026

this is a sort of more hot take among my circles but i actually make a point to not accept feedback from people who aren't in my same discipline - i'll ask for people's thoughts regardless, but I refuse to take critique on my music from people who themselves don't write music.

there's a chance my kamioshi yuuko natsuyoshi ends up performing one of my favourite songs of all time (hikari no ushirosugata) and i can't even BE THERE to hear it 😭 literally just drive a knife into my chest at this point

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 17/07/2026

there’s genuinely zero telling if any of them will even be a part of any other leg. can’t even if they'll be around for yokohama bc i'm assuming their agencies probably prioritized LA for opportunity reasons. theres a chance that this is the ONLY leg in the whole tour that they’ll be at...

110

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 17/07/2026

fucking killing me that the one leg of umamusume 7th event with so many of my oshis is the single leg that I cannot go to... they put natchan, kaorin, yuichan, in the same performance... and it's the one in fucking LA??????

it is genuinely so funny that toby fox just made 'lawyer-friendly link's awakening' an entire part of the game in ch3. i was listening to the link's awakening medley from the 2024 orchestral concert as the principal reference point, i hope that influence shows lol

this will be deltarune music in 2038 (orchestration study)

1447

dante 🎶 @soundcirclet.net · 12/07/2026

whenever the eventual deltarune anniversary orchestra concert comes in i legit cannot wait for the ch3 portion bc itll be so funny to see the track title tag pop in with the words “Raft Ride”
