imo vector to the heavens is shimomura's musical magnum opus, but i love the original a lot because it has this cool polyrhythmic triplet figure in the low strings that creates this 'rhythmic dissonance' that is otherwise missing in every following version

one important thing is that i think toby’s games being so ‘amateurish’ makes them MUCH more ‘attainable’ goals for young artists and developers to strive for and get inspiration from. “I want to make a game like Breath of the Wild” is lofty, unrealistic, and a bit naive (but not IMPOSSIBLE)
