I got to visit Northern Horse Park in hokkaido on tuesday! 3 years ago I first got interested in Umamusume through ROAD TO THE TOP, which invariably led me here to experience this beautiful scenery and pay tribute to a part of keiba history. cheval grand and blast onepiece were really cute too!

to 'iterate' on this, Diorama Break's battle music exists in three key layers (melody, base, and rhythm) and it handles each layer differently during the transition:

melody has a shorter fade length because it's a monophonic line
base layer fades are a tad longer because this layer usually includes things like strings, which are instruments that sound most natural with a more gradual dynamic change
drums do not fade: it is imperative that the transients and tails remain intact else the illusion of musical coherency is ruined, so instead there's almost a hard cut between the first variant's drum layer and the second variant's drum layer - what makes this possible though is that transitions are tempo-synced and can only happen per beat
