🎶 I'm releasing my hypertrance song "Impermanence" on Dec. 7! I'll (hopefully) upload a visualizer video on Youtube as well but the song itself will go live in streaming on that date 🎧

How did everyone pick their username? So my old username was a series of musical notes, but then it sounded like ass so I went with Delta coz the first 2 letters were D and E I then made it Deltaranged as a portmanteau of "Delta" and "Deranged"

Q: Is it true that Bluesky doesn't use algorithms? A: Not quite! #sky-tan #QaA

Question: Is it true that Bluesky doesn't use algorithms?
Sky-tan answers..
Not quite! Bluesky actually has many algorithmic feeds but it gives you the right to choose and create them! Currently they can be categorized like this: Following (Posts from people you follow in a chronological order without algorithm), Discover (Official feed from Bluesky that acts like a For You page. Can be fine tuned!), Custom Feeds (Feeds created by the community. You can create your own too!)
Bonus tip: In settings > Following Feed Preferences you can enable posts from custom feeds to show up in your following feed!

I came across an outdated guide on image grid sizing crop/proportions for bsky earlier, and I felt it was important to create an updated version! Please use this new guide instead!

Up-to-date BlueSky Crop Aspect Ratio
Crop Sizes for Bluesky as of 18 Oct 2024

By default, single images are uncropped. If image is too tall (Exceeds the 1:2 aspect ratio) then it will be cropped. Single images that are too tall may be scaled down but aspect ratio is preserved

With two images, both of them share a square aspect ratio of 1:1

For three images, the first image is square (1:1) while the other two are half-squares (2:1)

And for 4 images, all of them are 3:2
