Gah! That sucks! Sorry to hear that! I realized during covid I have a reaction to "stress/cortisona". I start to get hives all over. I used to have them a bit on my hands/arms when searched for missing stuff in my house (documents/papers/toys). I thought it was a reaction to dust until then. 🥲🫶🫂

Watched Magic Knight Rayearth. It's cute. The Escaflowne intro inspiration was freaking awesome and I hope this refreshes people's mind about the series as well. In terms of quality, the episode was hurting at times, but it landed the most important scene tbh. And I can't deny the song hit me big.

My father supposedly took my pregnant mother to watch The Thing in the cinema. My mother was frightened and says I was too, so much that I wonder if that was any factor on my anxiety. They forbid the movie for years until I stumbled upon it at 1am when I was 14 and watched with headphones 🎧 on tv.

My first scary true horror movie would have to be technically Jaws. Other than that, Alien and maybe Poltergeist. My parents weren't horror fans and kept most of "serial killers/demons" media forbidden. But scary animals, aliens, and hauntings? Those were fair game. Except The Thing. /cont...

DUDE, I went to watch The Grudge in the cinema and I was ugly CRYING. My bf didn't understand why I was so upset. We had seen "worse" movies... but my nightmares were *exactly* like that. I was beside myself.

Im not sure of the FIRST, but I know for sure I watched the Little Mermaid at 4 and Ursula's colossal transformation scared me. Among others: The Dark Crystal, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Raiders of the Lost Arc melting, The Secret of Nimh... lots of traumatic stuff in the 80s.

Seeing people use Ai for everything is really like watching someone open a bag of Cheetos, eat the contents, and just drop the bag on the ground where they stand. Thrash dropping around them without picking it up. And you see them walking away with a smile.
