Sthng that maybe I could get better at is teaching folks new to game design that making detailed plans or game design docs at the beginning of the process, or really anything that is more than a page is really just a waste of time. Broad strokes are fine bc no one reads and early changes are fast

Free idea for rich guys following me: make a junior fund. Offer it to studios with shipped games and decent headcounts, but specify it must be used to hire new devs and support their training. Less glamorous but you’ll get plaudits down the road when those juniors mature. Every ‘name’ was a junior

constraints CAN breed creativity, sort of, but i hate this way of phrasing it, because constraints can also hobble you - dogma can make you miserable and incapable of creating things what we really mean is that SOME constraints function as PROMPTS, specifically in the pre-hell-world sense

I've been getting back into Magic the Gathering and I'm at the go to all the shops I have near to get cards for collection and decks phase. My Rebecca Guay collection had like 50 and it is at ~90 so far. Decks are pauper (green, elves) and commander (Karumonix, black, rats).
