We welcomed local school pupils onto campus for an outdoor workshop exploring air quality and how it impacts our health. Pupils used GPS to find different locations across campus and assess air quality, as part of the More Than Maps initiative. Read more: www.southampton.ac.uk/geography/ne...

Intense sand mining is putting the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia at risk of collapse with catastrophic consequences. Scientists have now determined the cause of this decline to be sand mining in the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam. 👉 southampton.pulse.ly/bqqpxhrguz
