Not for nothing, but I'd love this little howdy-doo as a miniature, too. XD

Yeah, it's a winter thing! It'd have been a little longer but for having shaved while in New Zealand, so I'm starting a little later this year.

I haven't had the juice to cook up my own Marine Chapter in a goodly while. Now, if I were just to steal Mrs. Sledge's Silver Stars, there's years worth of background and markings I can rob, inspired in part by the Holy Roman Empire and the Bishop of Regensburg's chicanery. :D

I bought a new Intercessor Squad. I saw purity seals and a back banner and lost my goddamn mind. 😅 Need to decide what Chapter they're going to end up!

Picked up a couple of those Heroes of Sigmar blind boxes. They're all Weird Little Guys which look like they'd be a blast to paint, so I don't think I can go wrong with them.

Every time - from all of these bozos - it's always, 'the world should accept,' 'people should accept,' it's never 'I would accept; I would endure through the difficulties to see this through.' And 'the world' is always going to mean 'far away brown people we don't have to pay much,' they aren't sly.

Whoever changed the design of the Escher heads in the new kits so that the hairstyles slot into a gap in the top of the head rather than that weird half-a-head design that left a walloping great gap between face and cranium? Give them a couple of chocolate hobnobs from me.

With some focus time yesterday I finished the last three bases and got all my early war Germans infantry from the Flames of War Blitzkrieg starter box finished. Happy with the outcome - I'd never have picked Sons of Horus Green as a highlight colour but I think it works at this scale.

A dozen 15mm early war WW2 bases with German infantry.

A command base with officer, sergeant, and runner.

Many years ago, I had a Van Saar heavy who'd fluked Bulging Biceps, Armourer - pretty much anything that made him a murderer, really - and just walked around the board yelling like Heavy Weapons Guy, auto-passing his first ammo check, then the next were so stacked it was 2+... Necromunda silly.

You also can't put a step wrong with a heavy stubber. There might be more effective choices, better uses of credits... but I will absolutely not budge on the Rule of Cool where a heavy brrrt is concerned.

Didn't get as much built this weekend as I'd have liked, but as with any game the best place to start is with lasguns, right? The Leader in front is kitted for OPR's Firefight, while the spare will be made up once I actually have the Necromunda rules in front of me.

It's been a while since a video featured quite so many paints, but part of the purpose of painting this Escher ganger was to test some new toys! Peachy Flesh is an absolute winner, for starters. I hope I have the stamina to finish a whole gang like this! youtu.be/zSsMDIwWgCA
