Yet we reject pure nihilism by shrieking empathy as resistance, to turn tools of control into weapons of reclamation. For those who know the desperate frustration and invisibility that leads to burning everything down around you, this record is yours.

This album struggles with the weight of being pinned beneath systems designed to erase and pacify, where identity becomes contested and flensed, exposing how deeply the violence is embedded in the structures we’re forced to navigate.

We’re thrilled to introduce our upcoming LP for Negative Gain and SOIL Records! DEAD LINES (lineas muertes) drives home the pain and struggle the world has faced in the last years, excoriating our broken systems and the wretched people who run them.

I think as of this moment my top 3 albums of the year are FAETOOTH - LABYRINTHINE, WITCH FEVER - FEVEREATEN, and the RAGANA & DROWSE - ASH SOUVENIR release from today. I’ve enjoyed lots of music this year, so will narrow down a proper list later, but those are peak albums for the vibe I’m owning.

obviously screeching about trans people's genitals at deafening volume on every public platform available to you is hateful, cruel and dangerous but we must always remember the equally important fact that it is also HUGE loser behavior

SØLVE @solvevlos.bsky.social · 21/02/2025

Yeah I grew up listening to his music and spoken words as well as reading the books he published through 2.13.61 so I agree. He’s been a dick at times and probably problematic in the past, but he averages more in favor of well intentioned and very well-spoken.

Like, why are we arguing about things that psychologists, sociologists, and scientists have already worked on? I know science isn't immutable, but it's a whole lot more researched and examined than just saying "there's only two genders because men and women."

SØLVE @solvevlos.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

This isn't a hot take or anything, but one of the biggest and dumbest reasons that there's like literal potential of a fucking civil war is because so many folks refuse to just say "that's not something I know about, I will defer to what professionals or those with relevant experience have to say."

Imagine advancing AI to the level where it can (mostly) successfully impersonate random social media accounts and sway public opinions - but then just train bots to be dumb as bricks and argue about how climate change isn’t real.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

I am so tired of "We've heard twenty hours of researched, articulate, passionate testimony from respected experts in their fields, but this white lady who looks like she has the Bible verses that justify marital rape saved in an open tab on her phone cried so now we're taking away your rights."

SØLVE @solvevlos.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I will say this one feels quite a bit *less* electronic, as I indulge in my love of 90s alternative and sludge metal, but it definitely still carries on the SØLVE themes and aesthetic (I have a feeling I’ll be doing more of the bleak electronic work again soon).

110

SØLVE @solvevlos.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

And I can directly link it to the influence of watching a ton of Children of the Corn movies LOL (as well as some actually great folk horror films). Also re-learning some voice leading theory - that probably helped more, but I’m gonna give the credit it to Children of the Corn. Cheers!

And it sounds exactly how I wanted it to, which is the real accomplishment, imho. There was one song that I wasn’t happy with for the longest time and planned on scrapping, but after reworking the whole vibe of it, it’s now one of my favorites. Funny how that happens.

As of this morning, I think I’m officially done with the instrumentation, editing, and sequencing for the entire SØLVE album. I’ll spend the first part of the new year writing and recording lyrics/vocals, but I’m incredibly excited to have reached this goal that I set for 2024.
