heres a before and after comparison, new on the right. the difference for vibrant valley is WAY more subtle, its most noticeable with the green (especially on trees) World 2 changed way more and is WAY nicer now

Been tweaking some of the colors in the levels, mostly adding a smidge more saturation. world 2 in particular felt VERY flat before in comparison lol

KITA
Kita loves nothing more than saving the world and seeing its beautiful sights & sounds. Kita may be mute, but he's filled to the brim with boundless energy. He's expressive, eager to save the world (sometimes causing a bit of trouble on the way), and more than ready to take on anything that gets in his way!

VANA
Vana is Kita’s partner in crime and best friend. She’s extremely talkative, excitable, and positive. However, thinking ahead isn't her strong suit. Whatever enters her head first is usually what leaves her mouth first, and she can jump into situations without preparing. However, neither this nor her cutesy pink exterior should fool you: she's just as ready to save the world as anyone else!

for me its better to care less about "is this very inspired by this game" and more on "does this game do enough different that someone who didnt like the inspiration could still get into this" and tricky passes that threshold
