I don’t have a strong option on signing in but I do like @marque.at style approach to creating a new account seen at marque.at/login . Many sites may have some incentive to encourage one pds over another as is in this case. I like what you’re going for though, entry level defaults.

It would be very painful to have to perform a data DR from a db back up in the moment you need it because it’s exercised so rarely. Jetstream backfill feels natural because you do it all the time. “If it hurts, do it more often”
000
softprops.bsky.social @softprops.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
All db products support automated backups under the assumption they are your app’s data DR story. I’ve never worked in a company where we’ve exercised them in the context of data DR. Meanwhile all atproto apps are built on a data DR system and use it all the time. It’s just called jet stream. 🤔

with a bit of perspective, I wanted to write this post which reintroduces spaces as a new primitive for atproto! spaces are a deeply social & "atmospheric" primitive & I kinda think they uniquely thread the needle on our design goals

as cool as I think @tangled.org 's DID repo uris are, the Configure your remote to git@tangled.org:did:plc:randomhex repo create prompt does not mix well with jj git clone git@tangled.org:did:plc:randomhex because you end up with a directory full of directories named randomhex instead of repo names

To target multiple classes with the same prefix, you'd typically have to resort to brittle attribute selectors. To make things easier, CSS is getting a new selector: the “Class Prefix Selector” (`.foo-*`). Check brm.us/class-prefix... to get the details. (Browser Support: None 😛 — just resolved!)

Is there a name for the logical fallacy where a piece of software is tremendosly improved with a better architecture and only mildly by the use of a different programming language where weak minds ignore the architecture part but latch onto and attribute all improvements to the language part?
