Moon @softmoon.world · 25/09/2026Hey creative technologists. I'm doing some early research, but I want to know if there are artists who use (or used) Processing (the Java version with a PDE) who aren't white men. Pointers would be really helpful 122
Moon @softmoon.world · 04/09/2026also gosh, I am also going to be seeing @digitalcoleman.art after seeing him at SIGGRAPH earlier this year! 110

Moon @softmoon.world · 05/08/2026i think there is always benefit in understanding how your paints work, but i meet so many people who just end up going one way or another. tool building is such a deep practice on its own, it's way too hard to do both. best to know which lane you want to be in for whatever period of time 120
Moon @softmoon.world · 04/08/2026Linux is awesome, I run gentoo, I have fun on linux. But sometimes I just want to be able to focus on recording and editing without having to think about the computer. or without having to buy a bunch of hardware dedicated to obtuse workflows (which is also a fun thing) 131
Moon @softmoon.world · 03/08/2026I'm kind of...ready to let go of "linux" as some sort of artist statement. I want to make way more room for creative expression in the sound arts. I've abandoned myself for too long. My identity is not the computer. 160
